The Best Shorts For Your Body Type

Not every woman is created the same. We all come in different shapes and sizes and we may not always know how to dress our body shape.

Here are a few points to help in finding the best shorts for your body type.

Pear-Shape
A Bermuda inspired style is best for this body shape. When choosing shorts, it’s a good idea to keep it structured and simple. Stay away from pockets, waistband details, pleats and drawstrings. You want shorts that skim over the hips not hugs them.

Hourglass Shape
High-waisted shorts are great for this body shape. Another great style is roomy shorts that skim your curves and don’t emphasize them more than you need them to.

Inverted Triangle
A wide leg short can help bring balance to your figure. Flare leg styles and ‘A line’ styles are also flattering. Choose shorts that stop at your upper thighs with a low waisted style, this will draw the attention away from your shoulders.

Apple Shape
Stick with shorts that are above the knee to avoid looking stubby. Choose flat front, never pleated shorts that are a lower rise than your natural waist. Pockets in the front and back are also great on apple shapes.

How to Wear Lace!

When you think of lace the first thing that comes to mind is either a wedding dress or an outfit you had as a little girl. You may also be thinking that lace is nothing new and how can it be different this time around.

Lace is not just for brides and little girls anymore.

If you have been toying with the idea of reintroducing lace back into your wardrobe now is your chance. Lace is making a huge comeback this summer, and it’s not just available in white or cream.

Summer is all about lace, whether it is purple, pink, yellow or blue it is easy to pull off, there are just two rules to follow.

First if you are leaning towards coloured lace you want the shapes to be simple nothing too over the top.

Second try and choose an accessory that is a little more tough it will help make your lace outfit less little girlish.

The lace look is not just a daytime look. For night time switch to a black or cream lace for a more romantic take on an old tradition.
