Toronto-born Artist Signed to Kanye's Record Label

The recent signing of Nigerian artist D'Banj to American Kanye West's record label, highlights that more African artists are starting to get recognized Internationally in the music industry. 

Nigerian-Canadian artist TolumiDE (pronounced toe-lu-mee-day), born Tolulope Olumide is no exception. TolumiDE's is a rising African talent, and known in the indie Canadian music industry for her many years as a member of Canada's all female music group 'Woman Ah Run Tings', that had a number of music videos on the top charts of Much Music. 

Since her solo career began, TolumiDE has had much success, especially with her music video for her first debut single "My Love". It is continuously on rotation on major African and European music video television networks such as MTV Base, Channel, Trace, Gospel Music Channel, MBOA TV, AMET TV, TelAfric TV, Nigezie, One Gospel TV and more. TolumiDE has graced the stage with such artists as Salief Keita, Tuface Idibia, P-Square, D'Banj and more. 

TolumiDE was born in Toronto, Canada but raised in Lagos,Nigeria with her family, and currently resides in Washington, DC, which makes her what most young African are, a true Global Citizen. Her music is a fusion of R&B, Afro-pop, and Contemporary Gospel, with album filled of inspirational and uplifting songs.
