Kanye West Says Media 'Lies to You Every Day'

Kanye West is nothing if not consistent. As the sole hip-hop headliner at this year's Essence Music Festival Saturday (July 2) night, the Chicago MC did not disappoint, offering up a visual feast complete with pyrotechnics, nearly two dozen dancers and elaborate lighting.

Broken up into three acts, the Louis Vuitton Don ran through more than 20 songs, ranging from tracks off his debut album to his most recent, 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.' Kicking off his set from the center of the Superdome, West appeared above the audience in a white blazer, jeans and sneakers to perform 'Dark Fantasy,' before making his way through the crowd, shaking hands like a fighter preparing for a boxing match. Ironically, he went straight into 'Power,' as if providing an explanation to his rock star-like entrance.

Song Leaked...Christmas Song...At Christmas???

Kanye West has been reluctant to release any new music ever since his new album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” dropped a little while ago. However, West recently had an unfinished version of a new song that he had been working on leaked to the rest of the public.

The song is a Christmas track entitled “Christmas in Harlem”. Although the song is unfinished, many fans are getting more excited for it’s regular release, as they cannot wait to see how West will improve it.
The song included two other artists besides West, Teyana Taylor and CyHi Da Prynce. There is a soft piano melody playing while West sings his lyrics, “It’s 40 below the windchill/ And we’re wiping snow off the windshield/ But still, wonderful night to be alive, baby/ And I’m so happy I’m with my baby.” His rap continues on, with West singing, “And we a lil late wit’ the Christmas gifts/ Rushin’ for the mall, don’t trip, you know I drive crazy.”

Kayne West still at it with Taylor Swift

Kanye West is still angry at Taylor Swift. At a surprise performance of his acclaimed new album at NYC's Bowery Ballroom around 1 a.m. Wednesday, West, 33, launched another attack against the country star, 20, whom he famously ambushed at the 2009 Video Music Awards.

During his rant, West seemed to suggest that the Speak Nowsinger used the VMA brouhaha to bolster her fame.

"Taylor never came to my defense at any interview," West ranted. "And rode the waves and rode it and rode it," he sniped of Swift.

Swift wasn't West's only target. The "Power" rapper also dug into Matt Lauer, with whom he recently tussled on the Today Show.

West charged that Lauer "exploited" him as they chatted about former President George W. Bush, who lamented that West called him a "racist" for his handling of Katrina.

Bush had said that West's comment was a "lowest moment" in his Presidency; West also objected to theToday Show playing a video clip of the VMA moment during their Today Show interview.

"Because [of] the popularity of me, they exploited that...That's not what he f*cking said!" West railed. "That's not what he said! He said it was one of his lowest moments. But it shows you---the way they try to villainize, the way they tried to do that."

Amber Rose likes a man to kick and spit on her? Hmmm

Jay Z Speaks on Kanye West!

Speaking at the New York Public Library to promote his book, Decoded, Jay-Z offered his two cents on the Kanye West/George W. Bush controversy. He stands by West and his original statement against Bush's treatment of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.

"I think what Kanye went through was, he himself became that, over the Taylor Swift incident," Jay said. "People said he was racist. And he’s not a racist person, so it made him reflect on the comments that he made. But I 100 percent agreed with the comments that he made, because again--it felt like it was being done to black people."
"Like, all you saw on the news was black people on the news with help signs and all this stuff, and then you have this picture of the commander in chief, who we all rely on, just flying by," the rapper continued. "It’s like, 'What is that?' If that had happened anywhere else besides New Orleans, would the response (have) been so slow? Would Bush (have) been on the ground? You have to ask these sort of questions. Just the fact that he thinks that the worst thing that happened to him is Kanye saying something about him. Like, what? That alone shows you where his mind is. Are you kidding me?"
