Trend Alert: Colour Blocking!

It seems that the colour stylings of the late 80s and early 90s are creeping back into fashion.
If you haven't already noticed color blocking is now at the frontlines of the runways. Color block fashion is one of the hottest trends right now. Spotting the trend is very easy this season when done in bright colors, but it can also be established with muted, monotone, contrasting and complimentary colors. You can get this look with clothes, accessories, bags and shoes.

Wearing colour blocks is not complicated. There are really only two rules to consider when trying to achieve this look:

1. Pick two solid shades of the same family, use jewel tones as they work best for this.

2. Pair it with nude shoes and minimal jewelry and make up.

Since color blocking is already a huge statement on it's own you don't want to weigh it down with heavy jewelry and bright shoes.

If wearing color blocking seems a little to flashy and bold for your taste, you can always try the colour blocking in a shoe or a bag for a more subtle statement.

How To Rock A Ponytail

If you thought the tired old ponytail could not be revived you better think again. The ponytail is a big hit for summer.

Instead of the tightly pulled ponytail that we are use to, the new ponytails are more relaxed and modern.

The Little White Dress

We all know that the staple item in your wardrobe should be a little black dress but is that really practical for the summer months?

Probably not!

The little white dress should be the new staple in your summer wardrobe. Not only will it keep you cooler but the white is so crisp and airy that it makes the dress look effortless.

How To Pull Off Snakeskin!

This year we are being treated to snakeskin dresses and coats. Now wearing this pattern is not easy, you need to be in the right mood and atmosphere to pull this off. You also need to remember to pair your snakeskin with neutral colors nothing bright.

Top 3 Bag Trends

Summer is here! You have probably already began choosing your summer wardrobe including shoes and swim wear. But what about your purse? It too follows summer trends.

Here are the top 3 summer bag trends from 2011

The Fringe
Sticking with the 70s inspired summer looks, like the floppy hat, a fringe purse is another way to bring back the 70s. These purses will introduce a little spring in your step and add a little bit of fun to any outfit.

Belt Purse
The idea of a belt purse is not only practical but now it's fashionable. At first glance it may remind you of a fanny pack but don't panic, it is way more sophisticated than that. Made from leather with simple chic designs in neutral colours, the belt purse is ideal for shopping trips and travelling.

Shoulder Straps
The last time you saw a long shoulder strap bag was probably on your grandmother. But she knew best. The shoulder strap is great for summer adventures because you are hands free. Wear it across your chest or over the shoulder and you are good to go.
