Happy 5th Birthday Twitter! The popular social networking site turns 5 today, and in celebration they launched a new website http://discover.twitter.com/ which features 16 different users from different backgrounds such as entertainment, political, business and even astronautics. List of celebrities includes Serena Williams, Virgin group founder Richard Branson, and rapper Snoop Dogg.
Including the launch of the new discover website, they also launched a 2min youtube video where the 16 different celebs discuss who they follow and why they use twitter. Five years ago today co-founder Jack Dorsey sent the very first tweet ever, back then it was called “twttr”. Today the social media website has millions of users, and nears a value of $10billion.
