The royal engagement photos are here! Prince William and Kate Middleton released their engagement photos today, with the couple showing a surprisingly modest look, in terms of fashion. Although the royal engagement photos show off Kate’s engagement ring – Prince William chose it because it belonged to his mother, Princess Diana – the clothing is unpretentious. For example, one picture features Kate sporting a $250 dress from a 2009 fashion collection,while another finds her in a $150 embroidered blouse.
The royal engagement photos were shot by Mario Testino, who is perhaps best known for his photos of Princess Diana taken five months prior to her death.
