An inmate who tried escaping jail in Mexico was sent back to his cell, after his 19 year old common law wife got caught carrying him inside a suitcase. Juan Ramirez Tijerina (pictured above) is serving a 20-year prison sentence for illegal weapons possession coming from a conviction in 2007. His prison break was followed after a visit from Maria del Mar Arjona Tijerina.
Police say that Arjona looked extremely nervous as she struggled to pull the heavy suitcase which looked to be unusually heavy. When officers stopped her and opened the case they found Tijerina curled up in a fetal position in the suitcase. Arjona now faces prison time for helping Tijerna attempt to escape.
